Excess Hair Shedding & Scalp Irritation

Prolonged exposure to chlorine's drying effects can strip the scalp of its natural oils. This can result in dryness, making the scalp feel tight and potentially lead to flakiness.

A stressed and irritated scalp can disrupt the normal hair growth cycle. Hair follicles may enter a resting phase (telogen) prematurely or shed more hair than usual. This condition is known as telogen effluvium, where an increased number of hair follicles shift into the shedding phase due to various stressors, including scalp irritation.

Dryness & Frizz

Activated carbon purifies water through a process called adsorption, where unwanted contaminants stick to its surface. Thanks to its unique molecular structure, activated carbon has an incredibly large surface area filled with tiny pores—one gram can have up to 32,000 square feet of surface area! This porous structure allows it to trap impurities like chlorine, odors, and organic compounds.

KDF 55 (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a filter media made of a copper-zinc alloy that works through a redox (reduction-oxidation) process to purify water. As water passes through, the redox reaction transfers electrons between contaminants, changing their chemical structure. For example, harmful chlorine is reduced to harmless chloride, and heavy metals like lead and mercury are converted into insoluble forms that can be filtered out.

Calcium sulfite is a filtration material commonly used for removing chlorine and other impurities from water. It works through a chemical reaction where the calcium sulfite neutralizes chlorine by converting it into harmless chloride ions. This reaction happens almost instantly and is highly efficient, making calcium sulfite an excellent choice for chlorine removal, even at high temperatures or in fast-flowing water.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an effective and natural way to remove chlorine and chloramine from water. It works through a simple Redox reaction where the vitamin C neutralizes chlorine by reducing it to harmless chloride ions. In simple terms, Vitamin C gives some of its electrons to the chlorine, turning it into harmless chloride ions (Cl⁻). At the same time, Vitamin C itself changes into a safe substance called dehydroascorbic acid.

Our Antibacterial ceramic catalyzers are a filtration material used to purify water by inhibiting bacterial growth and removing impurities. our ceramic catalyzers are infused with antimicrobial agents like silver or other natural minerals, which help to kill or prevent the growth of bacteria and algae. When water passes through the catalyzer, the antimicrobial agents disrupt the cell walls of bacteria, effectively killing them or stopping their reproduction.
